Sawyer's campaign struck back at Pat Bergeron, a political consultant who publishes lanewslink.com, a roundup of news items from around the state, along with original reporting and commentary. Sawyer says Bergeron approached Lee Fletcher, his campaign consultant and asked about doing business with the campaign. Sawyer says he refused to work with Bergeron and alleged the Abramoff story was produced by one of the campaigns that hired him. Sawyer asked any campaign to disclose their financial dealings with Bergeron. "Louisiana voters are completely fed up with 'slash and burn' politics like the political filth we see on this Web site," he says. Bergeron denies approaching Sawyer or Fletcher for consulting work. "Those allegations are insane," he says. He defended the reporting in the lanewslink.com item, saying Sawyer took trips with Abramoff.
Rise in terrorism plaguing Pakistan
The explosion left the road littered with body parts and wounded survivors and blasted out courthouse windows. There was no immediate claim of responsibility, though Pakistan's government has blamed earlier bombings on Islamic extremists linked to Al Qaeda. President Pervez Musharraf called the blast "dastardly" and insisted he would "continue the fight against terrorism and extremism" in the country, Pakistani media reported. According to a recent report by the Pak Institute for Peace Studies, an independent think tank, Pakistan has seen a sharp acceleration in suicide attacks over the past year, with 60 explosions killing at least 770 people in 2007. The bombing campaign has intensified since Musharraf's bloody routing of Islamic militants holed up in Islamabad's Red Mosque in July.

EAST COAST BIAS
The NFL counted it the third-coldest game in league history. The Giants didn't care because this wasn't at Giants Stadium, where they were 3-5, they might want to sign the deed and title over to their Jets roommates. But then, that's what had made the Giants' meteoric recovery all the more stunning. This is a team that started 0-2 with a coach fans wanted fired and a quarterback they wanted benched. Instead of imploding, the Giants set out to prove the world terribly mistaken. "We like to make things exciting," Giants quarterback Eli Manning said. "We don't like to win the easy way with the short field goal. We have to hit the long one on the road." Blame that on Tynes, who could have prevented further exposure to hypothermic conditions by making a 43-yard field goal with 6:49 left in the fourth quarter.

9/11 is the Litmus Test.
There is one thing that defines everyone over the course of these early years of this new century. That thing is the 9/11 attack. Everyone in government and every field of endeavor the world over is defined by their position on this event. It is not necessary to know the truth. It is only necessary to know the extent of the lies in order to define any leader in any position anywhere in the world. By what they have said and by what they have not said, one can accurately judge who is an enemy of the people’s of the world. One can accurately determine who is a tool of the psychopaths or one of them. Think about what you allow yourself to know. Think about what you pass by; ignore, deny and defend ...that defines you. It defines the degree of your personal courage, your relationship to the truth, your values, your principles and what you will pass on to your children and everyone you meet.
