Allton Starts Web Design Firm in Lake Saint Louis, MO

Michael Allton can still remember his first website.

"It was 1997, and my mother had just formed a new non-profit organization in Norwalk, Ohio called Project Leadership. It was designed to promote leadership and community values and she wanted a website to help recruit members. I used FrontPage 97 and it was very basic, but it sparked my love for website design."

Since then, Michael has come a long way. For several years, he designed websites for businesses and organizations in Ohio while with an IT Firm. Then, last year, after moving to Lake Saint Louis, he started his own design firm, Stadia Studio.

"I wanted very much to get back into designing websites for small businesses," said Michael. "I've always enjoyed helping businesses grow, and having a great website is an integral part of that."

Stadia Studio specializes in providing small businesses with complete web services including website design, hosting, search engine optimization and consulting.

CM meets heads of IT companies in Bangalore

Pursuing its stated mission of making Kerala the destination for knowledge intensive and high value IT services, the Chief Minister Mr. V. S. Achuthanandan met heads of some of the leading names in IT and software development in the country at a road show held in Bangalore on the 14th of October. The road show was attended by over 50 senior professionals in some of the leading names in the IT industry. In his opening remark, the chief minister reiterated that the Government would extend all possible help to IT companies to start operations in the state and appealed to various company heads to consider Kerala in their investment plans. Earlier addressing the media, Mr. Achuthanandan said, "We are looking at a decentralized model for further developing the business environment and related infrastructure in the state.

UK : Man Admits Plotting To Behead Muslim Soldier

Adam Mussa of the Muslim Brotherhood-founded Muslim Association of Britain (MAB) claimed: "Some of the people arrested are just individuals with loud voices, who are vocal about various neighborhood issues, but that doesn't make them terrorists. It's not fair. This seems to be happening again and again. This is a form of victimization and your average 'Mo Public' is feeling very cynical. When you come in and do a job you should make sure you clean up after yourself, and that's what the police need to do here."

The raids happened as there had been intelligence that a cell of British Islamists had planned to kidnap and behead a Muslim soldier. A particular Muslim soldier had already been targeted, and was under protection. It was revealed shortly after the arrests that he was a corporal in military intelligence, chosen from a shortlist of 25 individuals

Adam Mussa justified his hostility to the Birmingham raids by ridiculing the notion of such a plot.

There is no doubt that it is a major advantage to be a black conservative in politics, business, talk radio and a number of other professions. White people have come to open themselves up to black success, black intelligence, and black congeniality. Observing America and the world in 2006-07, it would be Pollyannaish to say that racial prejudice was defeated, any more than terrorism or drugs have been defeated. But the world is a vastly different place today, and if one studies the subject hard enough, they might not find any place like the American South in the 37 years that span 1970 to 2007.

Southern sportswriters have there take on the evernt, whether it be Allen Barra, Keith Dunnavant, or the Birmingham Post-Herald's Bill Lumpkin, who in response to recent books and movies depicting the event wrote, "I'm sure the abundance of Alabama fans in the Legion Field crowd of 72,157 left the game that night saying to themselves: We've got to have a Sam Cunningham.

Gunman Kills 8 in Jewish Seminary

That festive holiday falls during Adar, the month on the Hebrew calendar that started Thursday and is often marked with fireworks.

That is what many students at the seminary said they thought they were hearing when the gunman opened fire.

"I thought it was firecrackers, but then I realized it was too loud," said Itay Tuchfeld, who was in his room two floors above the library at the time. "I looked out my window and saw someone enter the library with a gun. He was spraying bullets in all directions."

"I locked myself in my room and called my father, who telephoned the police," he told Israel Radio.

Tzuker, the paramedic, arrived during the shooting. He and other witnesses said they heard both single shots and automatic gunfire from inside the building.

Obama's Wrang-Wrang

Cocooning isn't easy: It takes drive and determination to portray Alaska Gov. Frank Murkowski's loss in his state's Republican primary, in which the big issue was a natural gas pipeline, as a referendum on the Iraq war. After a tense struggle, the NYT's William Yardley eventually gets there, in paragraph 18 of a 19 graf story. But just barely:

Paul Pierson, a professor of political science at the University of California, Berkeley, said Mr. Murkowski's loss, while rooted in local issues, might show something broader about voters as polls show high disapproval over how some incumbents handle issues like the Iraq war. [Emphasis on conceptual bungee cords added]

Hanging on by both fingernails, but it's in! ... Thank God for professors of political science. ... [This seems like another one Taranto had days ago--ed Nope.] 5:57 P.M.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Lil' Wayne's Detox? C-Murder & The Game's Mom? Mariah ...

My homey Johnny told me that C-Murder has signed The Game's mother to a deal. She soon is telling her life story in the form a book…and maybe a CD as rapper. “Life's Not A Fair Game" is supposedly the name of the book. I'm sure you all know, but Game's mother is a well respected OG in the Compton hood – I heard.

NELLY'S TOTAL RULE OVER OTHER PEOPLE?

7 Questions for Cutting-Edge Game Developer Kellee Santiago

Neither Jenova nor I came to USC thinking we were going to develop video games. My background was theater. It wasn’t until we were both in the Interactive Media masters program that we became inspired to make games. A couple of our professors have an inspiring philosophy of play-centric game designs—using games to communicate emotions and stories in different ways. How is that different from more traditional gaming? Game makers know how to make people feel excited. They know how to make them feel cool, how to make them feel frustrated and challenged. Those are four emotions in a huge spectrum of human emotions. Look at the way people respond to other mediums, like film, literature and TV. They talk about how something makes them feel—"This movie was really sad," or "That was a powerful moment." Games today are more feature-based.
