The National Steeplechase Association has chosen longtime racing executive Lou Raffetto to fill a newly created position of chief executive officer. Most recently the president and chief operating officer of the Maryland Jockey Club, Raffetto will manage company operations and direct plans for the future. Raffetto joins a staff of four at the NSA's headquarters in Fair Hill, Md., and starts the new position March 17. "We were lucky to have someone of his caliber available when we came to the conclusion that we wanted someone to run the company," said NSA president Franny Abbott. "I love his enthusiasm. I love his history in flat racing. He's got the people skills to be helpful with our race chairmen and horsemen, and he will be able to help in our goal to become a bigger part of the Thoroughbred industry." Machete gang attack leaves man with severed hand
ESSEX police are urging parents with children who might have returned home covered in blood last night to contact them after a man's hand was almost severed in a machete attack. The 27-year-old man was attacked by a group of teenagers who chased him and one of them attacked him with the machete. The incident happened late on Friday night on Eastham Estate in Brentwood The teenagers are described as white, in their teens and wearing hoodies. .
Dwarf-bowling slated at saloon on Staten Island's South Shore
A Staten Island tavern could throw an expensive, king-sized gutter ball if it goes forward with plans to host a night of dwarf-bowling this weekend featuring shock jock Howard Stern's pint-sized protege, Beetlejuice. That's because state law prohibits bars and other places licensed to serve alcohol by the State Liquor Authority (SLA) from hosting dwarf-bowling and dwarf-tossing events. Last week on Saturday I picked up the trilogy in a box set for 20 I think. Because I'm not buying the 10-DVD box set for 30, sod that! I saw The Matrix on that Saturday and Reloaded on the Sunday following. Yesterday I watched Revolutions as I haven't got time on weekdays and I'm never in a film watching mood. What can I say a trilogy that will be remembered as an epic one. The Matrix The Matrix certainly is the best out of the series and it's story is brilliant with a stunning performance by Hugo Weaving as Agent Smith, Keanu Reeves as Neo and Lawerence Fishbourne as Morpheus. The film opens up with a computer hacker called Thomas Anderson who does under alias of "Neo" who tries to understand the strange code of the Matrix. During a day at his office he recieves a package with a cell phone.

“Just to clarify your Mariah E=MC2 comment it has nothing to do with Eminem. E stands for Emancipation(as in the title of her last album) MC is self explanatory and the 2 or squared simply means part 2. Emancipation of Mariah 2 but doesn't E=MC2 sound alot better."
