Music Preview: Jon Anderson says Yes to the School of Rock

They are Paul Green School of Rock All-Stars, as seen in the documentary "Rock School." With guidance from the Philadelphia-based Green, an avid classic-rock fan, the kids became fans of Yes' style of progressive rock and invited Anderson to perform on the soundtrack for the film.

The next step was a tour, for which he happily obliged. The band is playing a set that includes about 10 Yes songs, including the challenging, nearly 20-minute-long suite "Close to the Edge" from 1972.

Boomi Releases Fully On-Demand Integration Service, Fundamentally ...

Boomi On Demand offers the first complete integration solution delivered in an on-demand model, breaking the barrier to SaaS adoption for companies of all sizes and marking the end of the software approach to integration.

"Prior to incorporating Boomi into our price optimization solution, our people had a much more painful task of securing customer data for our solution," explained Todd P. Michaud, president and CEO of Revionics. "We evaluated several integration solutions and found that Boomi offers superior technology combined with an affordable cost structure. After a successful pilot with Boomi, we're excited to roll this solution out in a production environment, and we anticipate a substantial ROI."

Partners Speak Out About Boomi On Demand

In addition to the positive feedback from the beta customer community, numerous partners have begun working with Boomi On Demand to meet their customers' integration needs.

Police hunt killer after British student is found butchered and part ...

We were called after a mobile phone was found in a garden and checks revealed it belonged to the victim.

"This was a particularly nasty murder and the victim was found with a deep cut to her throat."

Italian news reports said that the elderly woman who found the phone had also reported receiving a telephone threat from a mystery woman.

Miss Kercher is believed to have attended the Old Palace School of John Whitgift, an independent day school for girls aged four to 18 in Croydon which boasts of offering a "first class education" and where fees are £9,570 per year.

Friends in Perugia described the student as "tranquil and interested in only her studies".

In one of her last messages to friends on the Facebook site last month Miss Kercher described how she had been eating too much at a famous chocolate festival that takes place in Perugia every October.

Sportscotland is saved in merger

The future of Scotland's national sports agency was secured yesterday when the SNP government bowed to a major campaign to prevent it being scrapped.

Sports Minister Stewart Maxwell said sportscotland would move its headquarters to the new national indoor arena in the east end of Glasgow from its current base on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Heathrow campaigners stage protest on Parliament roof

The message should go out today very clearly that decisions in this country should be made in the chamber of this House and not on the roof of this House."It is a very important message that should be sent out to those people who are protesting."One of the roof protesters, Richard George, 27, from London, said: "I am stood on the roof of Parliament because the democratic process had been corrupted."The aviation industry had taken full advantage of a weak Prime Minister to get the Heathrow consultation fixed."It does not even consider global warming despite everything Brown has said about the environment and despite the massive impact aviation has on the climate."The Prime Minister does not even have the courage to ask Londoners the simple question: 'Do you want a third runway?'. Instead, his Government published a consultation document full of gobbledegook and industry spin."Mr George added: "We decided to let Gordon Brown get on with Prime Minister's Questions, but we just wanted him to know what it is like to have an inconvenience above your head that you did not ask for."They made paper aeroplanes out of confidential Whitehall documents they claimed showed the consultation process was "fixed", and glided the planes into the MPs' car park below. The campaign group claimed that the documents – obtained under the Freedom of Information Act – proved that BAA wrote parts of the consultation document and that the Government had already decided to build a third runway and a sixth terminal at the world's biggest international airport.Mr George added: "Now the consultation is over, we can safely ignore the fixed result and get on with the job of stopping this new runway being built."A huge coalition of local residents, Londoners and environmentalists is coming together, supported by all the major mayoral candidates, to stand against Gordon Brown and say 'no more'."Plane Stupid said BAA and the Government wanted a sixth terminal and third runway built over homes, schools and churches in the villages of Sipson and Harmondsworth."This would increase the number of flights from 480,000 a year to at least 702,000."Two million Londoners face increased levels of noise, while CO2 emissions from the airport would shoot up despite claims by Brown that he's committed to fighting climate change," a spokesman said. The protesters said they branded Parliament "BAA HQ" because of the "extraordinary level of collusion" between the aviation industry and government.Matthew Knowles, spokesman for the Society of British Aerospace Companies, said: "These stunts are becoming tiresome and do nothing more than peddle inaccurate propaganda."The aviation industry has ach .

Farah seeks loophole

WESTS Tigers' hooker Robbie Farah is considering flying halfway around the world for a game of football that could ruin his dream of playing State of Origin for NSW.

The Tigers yesterday gave Farah permission to play for Lebanon this Wednesday in a World Cup qualifying match against Samoa in England.

Should he play, he will be barred from turning out for Australia and NSW for two years. Farah was yesterday told of the controversial eligibility ruling moments after booking his flight to the UK.

Farah last night said that he would travel to the UK in the hope that an exception can be made.

"I found out yesterday that the Tigers would let me play,'' Farah said. "I messaged a few of the boys and told them I would be on the plane.

"I was pretty happy, but then I was told about this rule.

Google and PayPal collide at the checkout

Jon Kuhlmann has had a front row seat as that competition unfolded.

Kuhlmann, whose company Grapevinehill.com sells discount footwear, had been taking PayPal for years, largely to service the eBay Inc. customers that account for 80% of his revenue. And when Google Checkout came along he added that payment option to his eBay store and his own site.

But eBay, which owns PayPal, was having none of it. For the first few days we took Google Checkout for some eBay transactions, but that was quickly stopped by eBay, he says.

A year later, eBay was still banning Google Checkout, saying it is unproven. And Kuhlmann was on hand in Boston when Googles attempt to poke fun at that ban badly misfired.

Party crashing

Google invited merchants attending the annual eBay Live event in June to attend a Revolutionary War-themed party billed as a celebration of freedom of choice.

Position battles dominate Big East's spring practices

Defensive end George Selvie should help smooth the transition for McCarney's replacement.

- USF will also have to replace cornerbacks Mike Jenkins (three interceptions, 12 pass breakups) and Trae Williams (six interceptions, 11 pass breakups), which won't be easy.

- The evolution of junior quarterback Matt Grothe should help the team build on last year's legitimate success.

West Virginia Mountaineers Spring practice starts: March 14 Spring game: April 19 What to watch - Shifty quarterback Pat White is back, but how well will Noel Devine slide in for Steve Slaton, who decided to forgo his senior season in favor of the NFL Draft?

- The most obvious story line this spring is how the team moves forward with its new coaching staff and whether it can leave the Rich Rodriguez saga behind.
